The LifeCurve™ App is just one part of the ADL Smartcare services that shape age-related decline.

LifeCurve™ Partners

A LifeCurve™ partner is an authorised organisation that wants to engage with App users to benefit their independence and support learning/research into ageing.

This can be as someone who wishes to provide services, products or activities to App users (e.g. suppliers, local authorities) or access data with permission from App user LifeCurves™ in order to benefit others e.g. researchers. A LifeCurve™ App user is in complete control of which LifeCurve™ Partner they connect with and fully informed of the LifeCurve™ Partner's specific use of data.

LifeCurve™ partners will positively impact an individual's LifeCurve™ by putting content on the App, as well as being able to monitor where they are on it (with express permission). In order to become an ADL Smartcare LifeCurve™ partner, you will need to explain:

  • Your purpose in becoming a LifeCurve™ partner
  • Your conditions as a LifeCurve™ partner
  • The benefits of you becoming a LifeCurve™ partner, to you and to App users

All data that a LifeCurve™ partner wishes to include on the App, will be curated by ADL Smartcare. Our existing Local Authority customers already curate the information and the organisations that they connect with, in their instances of ADL Services.

FAQ

My LifeCurve™ profile

Step 1

After completing your LifeCurve™, you will be shown a list of available tasks relevant to your needs.

To add one of these tasks, press the heart icon next to it.

Step 2

After doing this, you will then be asked how often you would like to do this task, e.g. a one-off, every day, weekly or monthly. This will then be saved to your tasks for actioning later.

Extra tip!

Tasks can also be found in the Quick Links menu - tap on the in the top left of the screen to open the menu.

Step 1

Please visit your tasks section - they can be found on the app homepage, or in the quick links menu.

To access the quick links menu, tap on the in the top left of the screen.

Step 2

Select one of your saved tasks

Tap on the purple cog icon. A pop-up screen will then appear, where you will be able to change the frequency of the task or remove it.

Click on the menu button in the top, left hand corner of the screen. Select "partners".

Step 2

Tap on the search icon at the top of the screen.

Step 3

Once you're on the partner section of the app, you will then be able to scroll through the available partners.

Step 4

To connect to them, simply press the "Connect to the LifeCurve partner" button.

Step 5

To disconnect, press on the partner you wish to disconnect from and then click on the green box. A pop-up box will then appear which will ask you to confirm your choice.

Extra tip!

You can connect and disconnect from a partner at any time.

Step 1

Select your profile picture, which you can find at the bottom of the screen, then press the pencil icon next to your account.

Step 2

This will take you to the edit details page. Tapping on any of the options here will allow you to edit your information.

Extra tip!

Entering your gender and date of birth will allow you to benchmark against your peers.

Managing my account

To use the LifeCurve™ App you will need to create a free ADL Passport™ account. This is accessed through the app after the introduction.

To sign up, select the "Create an ADL Passport" option, enter your name, email address, post code and a password. After reading and agreeing to our terms and conditions and privacy policy, select the "Sign up for your ADL Passport" button.

You will be sent an email to confirm your email address and activate your account.

If you have forgotten your password, you will need to reset it in order to gain access to your account.

Step 1

On the log in page, select the Forgot your Password? link

Step 2

Enter your email address and tap the Reset Password button. An email with further instructions should arrive in your inbox soon.

Extra tip!

Some email providers can have strict spam filters, so don't forget to check your spam folder just in case.

You can edit your details at any time in the LifeCurve™ app.

Step 1

Select your profile picture, which you can find at the bottom of the screen, then press the pencil icon next to your account.

Step 2

This will take you to the edit details page. Tapping on any of the options here will allow you to edit your information.

It's possible to create profiles for your friends and family that are linked to your account. You will need the permission of the other person before entering their details and using the LifeCurve™ on their behalf.

Continue to create an ADL Passport for your friend or family member.

Privacy

ADL Smartcare has protected the privacy rights of users ever since it first started in 2002. We only store information that you send us, such as your name, email address and your LifeCurve™ results.

With the app you are in complete control of your data. A LifeCurve™ Partner can access your:

  • LifeCurve™ Position and data
  • Any LifeCurve™ tasks you interact with that belong to the LifeCurve™ Partner e.g. a GP LifeCurve™ Partner will not be able to see you usage of a Pharmacy LifeCurve™ Partner. ADL Smartcare does see this data as the Data Controller for the app.

You can remove a LifeCurve™ Partner at anytime and stop the partner from seeing your data after you disconnect. This will also mean you can no longer see their LifeCurve™ Tasks. When you connect to a LifeCurve™ Partner you can see how specifically they use your data.

LifeCurve™ Partners cannot add themselves to the App; this is done by ADL Smartcare who gatekeep the LifeCurve™ Partners on behalf of the community.
